Wildcats Comeback Comes up Short

12/2/16 - Varsity - The Wildcats opened the season at home against neighbor Gibsonburg and made a wild fourth-quarter comeback to force overtime before losing 78-68.  Gibsonburg led by 14 points (55-41) in the fourth quarter before the Wildcats started their comeback.  Woodmore eventually tied the score at 62-all and had the final shot at the end of regulation.  Gibsonburg outscored the Wildcats, 16-6 in overtime.  Senior Mitchell Miller led the Wildcats with 21 points while senior JT Atkin added 12 points and junior Corey Swisher had 10 points.  Woodmore had nine three-point field goals in the game.  Junior varsity - The Wildcats earned a 50-46 win in a game that was close all the way.  The teams entered the fourth quarter tied at 39.  Sophomore Drew Burner canned four three-pointers on his way to team-high 16 points.  Sophomore Taityn Rollins was also in double figures scoring 10 points.  Freshman - The freshman team broke out to an 11-2 lead after one quarter and breezed to a 46-16 victory.  The Wildcats were led by 18 points from Andrew Barringer and eight points apiece from Cade Burroughs and Grant Perry.
