Wildcats Earn Road NBC Win

1/10/17 - Varsity - The Wildcats (4-7, 2-4) trailed at the end of each of the first three quarters but scored 41 second-half points, 25 in the decisive fourth quarter, to earn a 72-68 win at Fostoria in Northern Buckeye Conference action.  Fostoria led 22-15 after one quarter, 37-31 at halftime, and 54-47 after three quarters.  But, the big fourth quarter by the Wildcats, while holding Fostoria to 14 points, was the difference.  Senior Derek Wank led the way with 23 points, 12 in the second half, while junior Mitchell Miller added 18 points, seven in the fourth quarter.  Senior Mikey Blausey was also in double figures with 13 points, 11 in the second half, and senior JT Atkin chipped in with nine points, seven in the second half.  Junior varsity - The JV lost for only the second time this season losing a shootout, 67-51.  Fostoria turned a 38-33 lead at halftime into a 51-35 lead heading into the fourth quarter after outscoring the Wildcats 13-2 in the third quarter.  Sophomore Brandon Blausey led nine players who scored with 11 points.  Sophomores Hayden Heidebrink and Michael Lindhorst each scored 10 points.  Freshman - The Wildcats led 18-8 at halftime and road that advantage to a 36-31 win.  Paul Koenig led the way with 13 points while Andrew Barringer had eight points.
