Wildcats Lose League Road Game

In a game that featured 15 unearned runs, Woodmore made six errors the led to 11 unearned runs in the loss.  Woodmore scored four times in the first inning as senior Hunter Stevenson had an RBI double, senior Donovan Reyes had the first of his five hits driving in a run with an infield single, and junior Taityn Rollins drove home two runs with a triple.  Reyes plated both runs in the second inning with a single.  Reyes drove home both runs in the fourth with a single and he drove home the run in the fifth with an infield single.  Woodmore left 10 runners stranded in the game.  Reyes was 5-for-5 in the game with six RBI while Stevenson had three hits and scored two runs.  Seniors Ian Cook and Derrick Berkel both had a pair of hits while senior Mitchell Miller scored three runs.  Rollins started for the Wildcats and pitched two innings allowing five hits and six runs (five unearned) while striking out three.  Stevenson pitched the next three innings allowing seven hits and six runs (all unearned) striking out two.  Miller pitched the sixth inning and retired the side in order.  The only earned run for Fostoria came in the first inning when they had a single, sacrifice and a double to score their run.

The Wildcats banged out 13 hits in the easy win.  Sophomore Brett Sandwisch went 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBI while freshman Hunter Allen was also 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.  Sophomore Logan Wolph also went 3-for-3 with a double and three runs scored and sophomore Jeremy Tingley went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.  Sophomore Steven Carter went the distance on the mound allowing just three hits and no runs while striking out five.
