Six Earn Spots on All-League Team

The Wildcat baseball team had six players named to the Northern Buckeye Conference all-league team in voting done by the coaches. Junior Tristan Roth earned first-team honors as a pitcher, along with Luke Rightnowar from Genoa, who edged-out Roth for league Pitcher of the Year honors. Roth posted 7-2 record on the mound with a 1.38 ERA allowing just 40 hits in 61 innings of work. He also batted .351 with seven doubles and 20 runs scored. Senior Logan Fonseca earned second-team honors in an outfield position. Fonseca hit .309 with 19 runs scored and tied for the team lead with 18 RBI. The Wildcats had four players earn honorable mention all-league honors. Junior Dillon Williams, who hit .306 this season, was picked at first base while sophomore Mason Beachler was picked at second base after hitting .257 with 22 runs scored and 23 stolen bases. Junior Connor Bringman was picked at third base hitting .312 this season with 18 RBI and junior Matt Depner, who led the team with 23 runs scored and three triples while hitting .303, was an honorable mention pick in the outfield.
